Korea Research Food Pollution Detector

Korean researchers announced that they have invented a small biochip sensor that can quickly and accurately detect food and environmental pollution.

Researchers from the Korea Institute of Life Sciences and Biotechnology said that the biochip sensor they developed uses surface plasmon resonance technology to detect the structure of the molecular plane by receiving a laser resonance signal reflected from the surface of the scanned object. The subject's DNA and protein are contaminated.

According to researcher Zheng Fengyu, the new device that can be lifted by a single device can perform “instantaneous inspection” compared to the bulky testing equipment that can only be used in the laboratory, which greatly improves the detection efficiency. After being modified, the biochip sensor can also be used for the detection of medicines and water systems, and even can be applied in the military field.

It is reported that the Korean Institute of Life Science and Biotechnology has applied for intellectual property protection for the main components of this biochip sensor.
