British Metal Material Grade Description

The Standards (BS) developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) are British national standards. The non-ferrous metal grades of the BS standard, the state codes and names of aluminum magnesium, and aluminum-magnesium alloys are shown in the following tables.

Instructions

Pure aluminum

• A (B, C) is preceded by "E" for electrical use • Shape letter designation + sequence number + A (B, C) Sometimes added state letter code at the end • 4-digit group (number on the leading digit is 1) At the end of the grade, "A" is sometimes added to indicate that it is an alloy derived from the United States.

Purity decreases sequentially Example: E1B, E57S, F1B, G1A, S1A, R1B: Shape letter code: B—bolt screw; C—clad aluminum plate or strip; E—rod, profile; F—forging; Wire; P - sheet; R - rivet wire; S - sheet or strip; T - drawn tube; V - extruded tube, hollow profile. A, B, C—Grade Number Example: 1080, 1050A, 1350 1—industrial pure aluminum; the second digit indicates the number of controlled impurities; the third and fourth digits indicate the percentage of pure aluminum and aluminum after the decimal point Low content

Aluminum alloy

• H or N+ shape letter code + sequence number • 4 digit group (number of leading digits is 2-9) The addition of “A” at the end of the brand indicates that it is an American alloy derived system

Example: HB15, HE9, HR15, NE4, NF8, NG3H - Non-heat-treatable; N - Heat-treatable; see "Pure Al" for the letter designator Example: 3103, 5556A, 6061 Represents the classification code 2—Aluminum, copper, and magnesium; 3—Aluminum-manganese; 4—Alumino-silicon; 5—Al-manganese; 6—Silicon and magnesium; 7—Al-zinc-magnesium-copper;8— Aluminum and other elements

Cast aluminum alloy

LM+ sequence number (can be added at the end)

LM——Aluminum casting code

Pure copper

C+3 digit sequence number

Example: C101, C105, C—Pure Copper

Copper alloy

Copper alloy type letter code + 3-digit serial number

Examples: CA103, CB101, CN105 Types of copper alloys Alphanumeric code: CA—Aluminum bronze; CB—Beryllium bronze; CC—Chromium bronze; CN—Cu-Ni alloy;CS—Silicon bronze; CZ—Brass; NS - zinc white copper; PB - phosphor bronze

Copper and copper alloy solder

C+ sequence number

Example: C7,C11,C20,C—copper

Cast copper alloy

• Element type letter code + sequence number, for example: AB1, CN2, CMA1, LPB1 (end of individual tag plus status code, such as CC1-TF) • Other types of letter code + sequence number, for example: G1, HTB1, HCC1 Individual mark at the end Add state code, such as G3-TF

Element Category Letter Code: AB—Aluminum Bronze; CC—Copper-Chromium Alloy; CMA—Copper-Manganese-Aluminum Alloy; CN—Cu-Ni Alloy;CT—Copper Tin Alloy; LB—Lead Bronze; LPB—Lead Silicon Bronze; PB - Phosphor Bronze Other categories Alpha Code: DCC - Hard Die Casting Brass; HCC - High Conductivity Copper; HTB - High Strength Brass; G - Gunmetal; LG - Lead Cannon Copper; PCB - Die Casting Brass; SCB - Brass Casting; State Code TF stands for solution treatment plus precipitation

magnesium alloy

• MAG - product shape letter code + 3 digits category number • Mg - main added element symbol and nominal percentage + other added element symbols and nominal percentage

Example: MAG-F-101 and MAG-S-111 products have the same letter code as aluminum alloys: Mg-Al3Zn1M, Mg-Zn6Zr

Cast magnesium alloy

MAG+ sequence number

Example: MAG2, MAG5

Nickel alloy

NA+ sequence number

Example: NA1, NA11, NA—Ni-base alloy

Casting nickel alloy

ANC+ sequence number, some with A, B, C category numbers at the end

Example: ANC5C, ANC15, ANC18A

Titanium alloy

The grades of income are BS aerospace professional standards. The grades are directly represented by their standard numbers.

Example: BS2TA13, BSTA20 TA - Tantalum and Tantalum alloys; digits before TA indicate revised order; numbers after TA are sequential numbers

Pure tin

T+ sequence number

Example: T 1 ,T 2 ,T 3

Cast tin alloy ingot

Number 1-9

Example: 1/Tin Base Alloy (tin base alloy)

Pure zinc ingot

Zn+ sequence number

Example: Zn 1, Zn 2, Zn 3
