Anxi sentiment: grassland sheep manure to be tea garden fertilizer

At the beginning of spring, the diligent Anxi tea growers began to fertilize the tea garden. The difference from previous years is that the fertilizer used by tea farmers in the town of Anxi in Anxi this year is far more than sheep from the Inner Mongolian steppe.

The tea farmer Wang Shunshun of Zhiyang Village, Gande Town, began to apply sheep manure to his own 2 acres of old tea garden before last spring tea. What makes Pharaoh very satisfied is that the benefits emerged when autumn tea last year. Pharaoh said that he used household sheep manure to fertilize, and the tea leaves produced were bright and fresh, tea was rich and sweet, long aftertaste, and natural flowers. The quality of tea was excellent. In his words, "the old tea soup has made a new smell" and can achieve the quality of pure organic tea.

Because of the good quality of tea, Lao Wang’s 2 mu of old tea plantations all sells at a good price. The original 1 kg of Maocha can only be sold for 80-100 yuan. Last year, 1 kg of Maocha was sold for 200-300 yuan. More than doubled, more than 20,000 yuan income. Lao Wang said that the benefits are not limited to this. If chemical fertilizers are used, the fertilizer will be used four times a year at a cost of more than 1,000 yuan per mu of tea gardens, and 1 mu of tea plantations will use 1 ton of sheep manure fertilizer. Once a year, only one fertilizer will be used per mu. As long as more than 800 yuan, so count down, the use of sheep manure fertilizer can save hundreds of dollars per mu.

An Wen, the director of the San An Tea Cooperative Association in Anxi Town, Anxi County, introduced that this year the cooperative will promote the use of sheep manure to fertilize tea gardens. It is expected that the use of sheep manure will exceed 500 tons, and it is expected to increase the income of the members by more than 6 million yuan in the whole year. The Senhui Sanan Tea Specialty Cooperative, established last year, has hundreds of members and covers more than 20 villages in the town of Sende. The cooperative advocates the "three-safety" concept and mode of production management of "producing area safety, production safety, and product safety" of tea from production to soaking. Promoting the use of sheep manure in all members is an important part of cooperatives' practice of this mode of production and management philosophy. The use of goat manure in tea gardens is supported by the relevant departments of Anxi County and the government of the town of Sende. For sheep farmers to apply sheep manure, the town government of the town of Sende will give tea farmers some raw material subsidies.

According to Wang Jianwei, member of the National Food Safety Organizing Committee and senior advisor of the Gande Sanan Tea Specialty Cooperative, compared with chicken manure, pig manure and cow dung, sheep manure is the best choice for fertilizing tea gardens and using sheep in the tea plantations. Manure as fertilizer, can rejuvenate the soil microorganisms, improve the soil, increase the organic matter in the tea garden, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the quality of tea. He predicted that the use of sheep manure in tea gardens will be an important measure and future direction for Anxi Tieguanyin tea industry to achieve sustainable development in the production process.
