The first solar glass industry standard was introduced

The first solar industry standard in the industry was passed at the review conference of the "solar battery glass (commonly known as solar glass) industry standard" organized by the National Building Glass Standardization Technical Committee. The standard was drafted by China Building Materials Inspection and Certification Center. The solar cell glass referred to in the standard refers to a high throw ratio glass for a cover sheet of a crystalline silicon solar cell. It is understood that there is currently no reference to international standards for solar cell glass. Related companies at home and abroad generally set their own corporate standards for production control or incoming goods inspection. Because there is no uniform standard, the development and specifications of the solar cell glass industry are severely restricted.

The standard proposed that the solar cell glass iron content shall not exceed 0.015%, the visible light transmittance ≥ 91.5% (equivalent to 3mm standard thickness), the direct solar radiation transmittance (300nm ~ 2500nm) ≥ 91.0% (equivalent to 3mm Standard thickness).

Experts attending the meeting believe that the industry standards adopted this time are more rigorous and professional in comparison with related foreign industry standards. The purpose is to improve the product level, corporate management level, and industrial technological progress through the implementation of standards. The formulation of this standard will become an important basis for related companies to carry out quality control and inspection, and will play a positive role in promoting the development of China's solar glass industry.

Experts said that when conditions are ripe, the industry standard will seek to upgrade to a higher platform and strive to become a national standard.
