According to the DVICE website, scientists at the University of California, Los Angeles, have recently developed a new mobile phone touch screen with a built-in photoelectric polarizer in the touch screen that can convert any light source, such as sunlight and the device's own backlight, into electrical energy.
The new energy collection polarizer developed by the research team this time is called Polarized Organic Photovoltaic Panel. It can greatly promote the function of the LCD, while playing the role of polarizers, photovoltaic devices, and ambient light sources or solar photovoltaic panels.
