Following the "Automatic Dual Backup Tracking System Arctracker Pro" (linkage flat single-axis system) and "Tianzhi Tracking System SkySmart" (single row independent system, 2 components vertical installation), CITIC Bo New Energy's tracking system product line has been added A flagship product-"Skyline Tracking System Skyline" (flat single-axis tracking system, single row of components mounted vertically). Today, I will analyze the application characteristics of various tracking systems in the global market with you, and then gradually "demystify" the characteristics and advantages of the Skyline tracking system Skyline.
1. Structure of the tracking system
In the preliminary design plan of the actual power plant, the power plant investor will select the final plan according to the actual conditions of the terrain and climate of different projects and the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the tracking system. Now, let's first analyze the characteristics of the single-row independent system and the linkage tracking system:
1) Single-row tracking system
Based on its single-axis characteristics, the single-row tracking system is not constrained by the east-west terrain and can adapt to irregular terrain well;
· Although each row of tracking system is equipped with a separate motor, slewing and control box, the cost is relatively high, but there are fewer on-site obstacles, which is conducive to later operation and maintenance.
2) Linkage tracking system
The linkage tracking system is a binary contour, and the project designer needs to consider the terrain in both east and west and north and south directions, which leads to the need for site classification or additional enhancement of the linkage system in many practical projects;
· The linkage tracking system can use a single drive and control system to drive more components, up to 400kW, thus providing a lower cost solution.
In summary, the products most suitable for desert terrain may not be equally suitable for high mountains or plains, but must be "medicated with symptoms" according to the actual power station project. Let us introduce the different tracking systems currently developed by CITIC.
2. CITIC Bo Tracking System Series
In order to meet the application needs of different scenarios in the global photovoltaic market, CITIC New Energy has independently developed and continuously enriched its tracking system product line, and now has the following three different performance tracking systems:
· Automatic dual backup tracking system ArctrackerPro-linked tracking system, with a main system and a backup system to enhance the stability of the system;
· SkySmart tracking system, a single-row independent tracking system, has the industry's largest north-south slope of 20%, and can be well used in harsh photovoltaic power plants. At the same time, Tianzhi's "four-point installation" method can ensure that the back of the double-sided component of the group is unobstructed, making it the best choice for double-sided components;
· Skyline tracking system Skyline-single-row independent tracking system, single-row components installed vertically, close to the ground, making the system more resistant to wind, is the best choice for irregular land power stations.

3. Skyline Tracking System: combines the advantages of all single-row independent tracking systems
CITIC Bo has rich experience in research and development of different types of tracking systems and practical experience throughout the project life cycle, and is well aware of the advantages and disadvantages of different types of trackers. Based on this, we have refined the advantages of all systems and used them in the development of Skyline to improve the reliability and stability of photovoltaic systems, reduce the cost of the entire system, and provide investors with a higher return on investment. Here, I will explain the four significant competitive advantages Skyline has:
1. Use string self-powered, no special external power supply;
2. Each MW reduces the number of posts by about 20%, directly saving the basic materials and installation costs;
3. There is no gap between the panels, which greatly improves the land utilization rate;
4. The specially designed main beam is used to analyze the static, dynamic and aeroelastic stability of different systems, and the cross-sectional specifications of the main beam are obtained.
Among them, the fourth feature serves as a prerequisite for the second and third features, which we will introduce in detail below. Among all tracking system components, the cost of the main beam is the highest, and its cost directly accounts for more than 40% of the cost of the entire structure. Therefore, we have done a lot of technical analysis and optimization for the main beam of the system.
The flat single-axis tracking system bears torque and bending moment loads. These two loads produce combined stresses on the entire tracking system. Figure 1 below shows the bending moments and torques and the combined stresses of the two, which are within the allowable stress range of the main beam of the sky. .

Through the experience summarization of power stations in many different regions, with different scales and different forms, CITIC Bo has mastered the various situations of the main beam torsion and bending moment, and responded to these requirements in a targeted manner, custom designing a special main beam. In this way, the dual-row vertical tracking system is more sensitive to the effects of wind torsion, while the single-row vertical tracking system is more sensitive to bending.
Now, we have applied the latest low-cost, light-weight main beam developed by CITIC Bo to the sky tracking system, which makes the entire tracking system more economical and optimizes the overall installation cost of the photovoltaic system. In this article, we will not explain and show one by one. It is worth mentioning that, as a cost-effective independent tracking product of CITIC Bo, Skyrim has successfully entered markets in Southeast Asia and Latin America. In the future, it will be used in more other photovoltaic markets.
