This advancement allows for more accurate tracking of patrol personnel as they move from one checkpoint to another. The system records not only the arrival but also the departure times at each location, enabling better oversight and management of patrol activities. As a result, the inductive patrol market is gaining increasing popularity.
Inductive patrols are becoming the dominant solution in the market, primarily due to the integration of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Unlike traditional methods, RFID allows data to be read without direct contact. When a patrol officer approaches a checkpoint, the device automatically detects and logs the information, eliminating the need to press a button. This feature makes it possible to embed the tags in inconspicuous locations such as walls, making it difficult for unauthorized individuals to locate them. This design effectively prevents tampering or damage to the checkpoints. Currently, inductive systems account for approximately 70% of the market share.
However, there are still some limitations. For example, the effective reading distance can be as short as 5 cm, which may cause inconvenience for officers during low-light conditions in the evening. Looking ahead, RFID technology is expected to play a key role in long-range communications, offering greater efficiency and reliability. With RFID, patrol officers can quickly upload all collected data within a minute. A single transmitter can collect information from up to 10–20 devices simultaneously, far surpassing the performance of older contact-based or proximity-sensing systems. This innovation is set to define the next generation of electronic patrol solutions.

To prevent damage, places like computer rooms, laboratories, and workshops should maintain proper humidity levels. Installing anti-static flooring or carpets can help reduce static buildup caused by movement. These conductive materials are effective in minimizing static discharge.
In outdoor environments where floor coverings are impractical, patrol officers can wear anti-static wristbands that provide good grounding. This is one of the most effective ways to prevent static electricity from affecting the equipment. Alternatively, officers can touch a wall briefly before handling the patrol device, allowing static to dissipate safely.
