Light steel keel gypsum board ceiling construction plan and process

(1) Material Purchase Parts Requirements

1. Light steel frames are categorized into U-shaped and T-shaped skeletons, and they are classified based on load capacity.

2. The main components of the light steel frame include large, medium, and small keels, while accessories consist of hanging pieces, connectors, and suspension inserts.

3. Additional parts include booms, flower blue screws, nails, self-tapping screws, and other fasteners.

4. According to design instructions, various cover panels such as aluminum or plastic pressure bars can be used. The materials must meet the required specifications and quality standards.

5. Adhesive should be selected based on the performance of the main material and tested before use.

(2) Main Equipment

Key tools include electric saws, reciprocating saws, nail guns, hand saws, planes, pliers, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, squares, rulers, and levels.

(3) Working Conditions

1. The structure should be built on an existing cast-in-place or precast slab. Pre-embed φ6~φ10 reinforcing bars according to the layout. If no holes are needed, position the large keel and install embedded steel hangers at intervals of 900~1200mm.

2. When constructing in brick walls, embed treated wooden blocks along the ceiling level at intervals of 900~1200mm.

3. Ensure all pipes and ducts are installed and mark positions for lights, vents, and openings.

4. All materials must be fully prepared before starting.

5. Complete all wet work on walls and floors before installing the ceiling panel.

6. Set up a working platform for installation.

7. Before large-scale installation, create a sample room to test the ceiling structure, light troughs, vents, and fixing methods.

(4) Installation Process

1. Process Flow:

Mark lines → Install big keel hangers → Install big keel → Install middle keel → Install small keel → Install cover panel → Install trim → Apply anti-rust paint

2. Line marking: Based on floor elevation lines, use a vertical ruler to draw lines on walls and columns to define the ceiling height.

3. Install big keel hangers: After setting the ceiling level and keel line, determine the lower end elevation of the hanger and fix it with nuts.

4. Install big keel: Attach hangers, insert into nut positions, and tighten. Connect using connectors and adjust elevation.

5. Install middle keel: Hang from the big keel using hangers, spaced 500~600mm apart if not specified.

6. Install small keel: Hang from the middle keel using hangers, spaced similarly. Extend if needed and secure.

7. Install cover panel: Begin from the center, aligning with the middle keel, and fix with self-tapping screws every 200~300mm.

8. Apply anti-rust paint to all exposed joints before delivery.

(5) Quality Standards

Follow GB-50210-2001, Articles 6.2.7 to 6.3.11.

(6) Finished Product Protection

1. Protect pipelines during installation. Do not attach anything to the skeleton.

2. Store materials properly to avoid deformation, moisture, or rust.

3. Protect installed doors, windows, and finishes from damage.

4. Avoid stepping on the frame or hanging items on it.

5. Complete all pipeline tests before installing the cover panel.

(7) Common Quality Issues

1. Uneven ceiling surface: Check leveling and tightness during installation.

2. Poor node structure: Ensure proper keel and connector placement at openings.

3. Loose frame: Secure the frame to the main structure and avoid attaching equipment to it.

4. Misaligned gaps: Ensure panels are straight and aligned during installation.

5. Uneven seams: Use tensioned threads and press firmly after alignment.
