However, due to increasing resistance in the pathogen, some regions have reported strong resistance levels. As a result, it's important to explore alternative and effective agents for managing this disease.

**Full Spike (240 g/L Thifluzamide Suspension)**
This fungicide works through a different mechanism than Jinggangmycin or azole fungicides. It inhibits succinic acid dehydrogenase in the fungal tricarboxylic acid cycle, leading to the death of the pathogen. Full Spike has strong systemic activity, offering both preventive and curative effects. It provides long-lasting protection—up to 30 days—and is safe for rice plants. Application should occur 20 days before heading or at the early stage of disease. The recommended dosage is 15–22.5 ml per acre mixed with 20 liters of water.
**Good Lectra (43% Tebuconazole Suspension)**
This agent is quickly absorbed by rice leaves and roots, distributing evenly throughout the plant. It inhibits sterol demethylation in the pathogen, preventing biofilm formation and effectively controlling the disease. It also promotes growth, prevents premature aging, and improves yield and grain quality. Apply once during the tillering stage at 12–15 ml per acre. Mix the solution properly, using 30–40 kg of water per acre.
**Fine Grain (20% Propiconazole WP)**
With strong systemic properties, Fine Grain is quickly absorbed by rice plants and remains effective even after rain within 4 hours. It has a long residual effect of 15–20 days, outperforming Jinggangmycin. A single application can provide extended control. Use 40g per acre mixed with 45kg of water during the early stages of infection. Avoid spraying during midday heat and maintain a 3–7 cm water layer in the field.
**Lice Grain Spirit (30% Lufenuron WP)**
This compound combines insecticides and antibiotics, effectively controlling both sheath blight and planthoppers. It controls sheath blight with about 84% efficacy and planthoppers with over 90%. One application can manage both pests and diseases. Use 25g per acre, mixing with 40–50 kg of water. If the field is dry, double the water volume and spray thoroughly on the lower parts of the plant.
**Shensinmycin (1% Shensinmycin Suspension)**
An antibiotic-based fungicide, Shensinmycin not only controls sheath blight but also helps prevent other diseases like rice blast and false smut. It promotes plant growth and is effective against various fungal and soil-borne diseases. Apply 60–80 ml per acre with 45 kg of water during the early stages of infection.
**Jin Lux (250 g/L Propiconazole EC)**
A triazole fungicide that inhibits ergosterol synthesis, damaging the fungal cell membrane. Domestic and imported versions are available. Dosage ranges from 6.25–7.5 ml per acre for domestic products and 5–10 g for imported ones. Spray 25–30 ml per acre with 40 kg of water, avoiding excessive use around heading time. Allow at least 7 days between applications.
**15% Jinggang + Propiconazole Wettable Powder**
This combination of Jinggangmycin A and propiconazole offers improved control and longer-lasting effects compared to single-agent treatments. Absorbed through roots, stems, and leaves, it shows excellent performance in field trials. Recommended dosage is 20–35 g per acre, maintaining a 3–6 cm water layer.
**Application Tips**
To maximize effectiveness, apply fungicides promptly when symptoms appear. Sheath blight typically affects the lower parts of the plant, so ensure thorough coverage. Use at least 50 kg of water per mu and direct the spray toward the base of the rice plants. Proper timing and technique are crucial for optimal disease management.
