On March 16th, Fucheng Aluminum Co., Ltd. of Taishan City, Guangdong Province, signed a project contract with Donghe District of Baotou City, investing 60 million U.S. dollars, and building an annual output of 3 million aluminum wheels in the Baotou National Ecological Industry (Aluminum) Park.
Aluminum wheels are used in automobile wheels and are deep-processed products in the aluminum industry. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project will invest 30 million U.S. dollars, will be constructed this year, and will be completed and put into operation in February 2007, with an annual output of 1 million aluminum wheels. The second phase of the project will invest 30 million U.S. dollars, and it will be completed and put into production in early 2009, with an annual output of 2 million - 2.5 million aluminum wheels.
