It is understood that in March, Shougang HRC was adjusted 180 yuan, 200 yuan on the board, cold plate North China raised 250 yuan, East China raised 180 yuan. Wuhan Iron and Steel rolled plate, hot-rolled, cold-rolled, pickled steel and other major species prices also increased prices 150-300 yuan / ton. Before the Spring Festival, Baosteel has raised the price of steel in March. The price increase this time is the price of cold-rolled and hot-rolled coils rising for 5 consecutive months.

Before this, due to traders leaving the city, the steel market entered a plateau during the week before the Spring Festival, but it generally rose after the Spring Festival, especially construction steel. In the first trading day of the Year of the Snake yesterday, the spot steel market ushered in a good start. The prices of all finished products have now risen significantly. According to market monitoring by the Lange Steel Network Information Research Center, prices of several steel products, including hot-rolled coils and mid-plates, rose by tens of yuan per ton before the Spring Festival.

However, Lange Steel Network Information Director Ma analysis, it should be noted that after the Spring Festival in 2009, 2011, 2012, China's steel market has experienced varying degrees of cold weather phenomenon, in which prices across the country in 2009 fell by 500- 600 yuan, until the middle and late April market really only warmer. The overall situation before and after the Spring Festival this year is quite similar to the situation after 2009, so steel traders and steel companies should also be alert to the possibility of a cold spell before April.
