What is the difference between concrete sealing curing agent floor and terrazzo floor?

When comparing the mechanical performance of terrazzo floors, it’s clear that while they have a solid foundation, their inherent brittleness makes them less durable under heavy use. For environments demanding high strength, terrazzo often shows signs of strain, particularly with noticeable wear on the surface enamel. However, applying a concrete sealing curing agent significantly enhances the floor's resilience. After treatment, the compressive strength of the cement base increases by approximately 27.3%, while its flexural strength improves by over three times. From a chemical standpoint, untreated terrazzo floors, due to the inclusion of aggregates, create a porous structure that allows acids, alkalis, oils, and water to penetrate easily. These substances can then corrode the surface. On the other hand, terrazzo floors treated with concrete sealing curing agents exhibit far greater chemical stability. They effectively block most external substances like water, acids, alkalis, oils, juices, dirt, and algae from seeping in. In terms of waterproofing and moisture resistance, terrazzo floors naturally have many pores, resulting in an absorption rate of up to 8%. This means a significant amount of water remains trapped within the floor after cleaning. Concrete sealing curing agents not only harden the floor but also greatly improve its waterproofing. Within 24 hours of application, the water absorption rate can drop by 96%. While not completely waterproof, this treatment drastically reduces moisture penetration, making it a popular choice for underground projects. Safety-wise, terrazzo floors perform poorly in terms of slip resistance, scoring around 50 in friction tests, compared to the much better 86 on dry surfaces and 69 on wet surfaces for concrete-sealed floors. Both types of floors offer excellent fire resistance, reaching the highest A1 classification. Regarding static electricity, terrazzo floors incorporating inorganic conductive materials can achieve anti-static properties without interference from concrete sealing treatments. Aesthetically, terrazzo floors with a glossy finish look great but require frequent waxing to maintain their shine. Without waxing, they appear dull and lackluster. Floors without the glaze layer resemble coarse, unruly hair—far from ideal. Fortunately, treating older terrazzo floors with concrete sealing curing agents can restore their former brilliance, eliminating the need for constant maintenance or renovations moving forward. This process not only revitalizes the appearance but does so in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
