The application method of this product is quite similar to that of traditional polyvinyl acetate glue. It has excellent properties such as freeze-thaw resistance, aging resistance, strong bonding ability, and a long shelf life. When using this adhesive, it’s important to control the moisture content of the wood within the range of 8-15%. If the moisture level is either too high or too low, it could negatively impact the quality of the bond. Before applying the adhesive, ensure the surface of the substrate is clean and free from oil, dust, and other contaminants. The bonding surfaces need to make full contact for optimal results. The glue should be applied evenly and in appropriate amounts. This adhesive can cure at room temperature or with heat, but the maximum curing temperature should not exceed 120°C. The curing time depends on the temperature and can be adjusted based on the specific conditions. When applying pressure, make sure the pressure is adequate and evenly distributed. It's recommended to maintain pressure for over 1.5 hours. After releasing the pressure, allow some time for aging. For the best adhesion, it’s ideal to keep the pressure for 24 hours and then let it sit for an additional 72 hours before further processing. This adhesive can also be blended with certain resins like urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin, or trimeric polyamine resin to enhance its water resistance and creep resistance.
In my experience, this adhesive works exceptionally well when used properly. Its versatility makes it suitable for various applications, whether you're working on furniture, flooring, or other woodworking projects. One thing to note is that proper preparation of the materials is key to achieving the best results. Always ensure that both surfaces are clean and dry before application. Additionally, avoid using excessive amounts of glue, as this can lead to messy joints that are harder to clean up. Overall, I’ve found this adhesive to be reliable and effective, making it a valuable tool in my workshop.
