Super-hard industry helps Fangcheng win three consecutive championships in national advanced science and technology

Abstract Fangcheng County has once again been recognized as an advanced county for scientific and technological progress in the national assessment, securing its "three consecutive championships." Over the past years, the county has actively promoted science and technology policies, attracted top-tier talent, and significantly boosted financial investment in innovation. These efforts have led to remarkable achievements across various sectors. Currently, Fangcheng's industrial innovation capacity is continuously strengthening, with four key industries—superhard materials, new energy, building materials, and machinery manufacturing—emerging as major drivers of growth. Companies like Zhongnan Diamond, Nanyang Boruikang Technology Co., Ltd., and Gudewei Potato Industry have become leading examples of technological innovation. In agriculture, the application of scientific advancements has yielded impressive results. The Yudanshen Base has obtained national GAP certification and regional origin protection status, while papaya planting and processing technology won the Gold Award at the International Agricultural Fair and a special prize from the Yangling Agricultural High Association. Additionally, the county has developed a robust science and technology service system, establishing 36 agricultural technology promotion institutions and 47 township-level agricultural stations. More than 300 associations and cooperatives have been formed, covering areas such as forestry, fruit, vegetables, and agricultural machinery, and over 12,000 households have been trained as technology demonstration sites. These developments highlight Fangcheng County’s growing strength in science and technology and its commitment to sustainable development.
