Super-hard industry helps Fangcheng win three consecutive championships in national advanced science and technology

Abstract Fangcheng County has once again been recognized as a national advanced county for scientific and technological progress, securing its "three consecutive championships" in the latest assessment. This achievement reflects the county's ongoing commitment to innovation and development. In recent years, Fangcheng has actively promoted science and technology policies, attracted top-tier talent, and significantly increased financial support for research and development. These efforts have led to remarkable progress across multiple sectors. Currently, the county's industrial innovation capacity is steadily growing, with four key industries—superhard materials, new energy, building materials, and machinery manufacturing—showcasing strong growth. Companies like Zhongnan Diamond, Nanyang Boruikang Technology Co., Ltd., and Gudewei Potato Industry have emerged as leaders in technological innovation. In agriculture, the application of scientific achievements has brought impressive results. The Yudanshen Base has obtained national GAP certification and regional origin protection status, while papaya planting and processing technology won the Gold Award at the International Agricultural Fair and received a special prize from the Yangling Agricultural High Association. Additionally, the county has strengthened its science and technology service system by establishing 36 agricultural technology promotion institutions and 47 township-level agricultural stations. Over 300 associations and cooperatives have been formed, covering areas such as forestry, fruits, vegetables, and agricultural machinery, and more than 12,000 households have been trained as technology demonstration families. These developments highlight Fangcheng's continued success in driving sustainable and innovative growth.
