Seco Tools held the 2010 Fall New Product Launch

In October 2010, Seco Tools (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. held a new autumn product launch conference and media conference in Fujian. At the meeting, Mr. Wang Wei, Marketing Director of Seco Tools (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. first introduced the company's latest five products.

1. Milling new product Power 4

The Power 4 is a copy milling cutter for steam turbine blade machining. The milling cutter was developed in collaboration with customers of Seco and the power generation industry. The Blade 4 of the Power 4 is designed with a blade anti-rotation system (patented) that ensures that the blade does not rotate during machining through four facets, which improves machining stability and ensures process safety. The insert seat also considers sealing against leaks, which avoids the ingress of chips or debris during processing, thus maintaining high precision to provide high quality machining. The tool body is surface hardened with a NiCr coating with a hardness of HRC 65-70 to extend the life of the tool body.

2, turning new material grade TH1000/TH1500

TH1000 (ISO classification H05-H10) is a TiSiN-TiAlN nano-scale PVD coating grade with a PVD nanotop layer for maximum toughness and high resistance to micro-cracking. Turning hard surface parts or fine-hardened steel parts often causes chipping. The TH1000's high cutting edge resistance to chipping can effectively prevent chipping. TH1000 is mainly used for processing steel parts with both soft and hard areas. Excellent cutting edge toughness shows excellent performance in hardened steel finishing, interrupted cutting and cutting hard surfaces.

TH1500 (ISO class H10-H15) is a hard Duratomic® diamond grade grade suitable for continuous cutting hardened steel (HRC 40-55) or for cast iron finishing. The TH1500 is economical for such unstable conditions when factors such as parts, clamping or machine stability cause poor performance of CBN and ceramics.

3. Drill new products SD22/SD26, SD600, SD245A, SD265A

The SD22 and SD26 are new high-efficiency solid carbide small diameter drill bits designed specifically for the automotive and medical industries. Compared to HSS drills, the SD22/SD26 can significantly increase productivity, extend tool life, improve hole quality, and reduce part processing costs.

The SD600 is a new modular drill bit system designed for applications that require safe and efficient machining of large diameter deep holes, especially for processing flexibility in large parts in the oil and gas and power generation industries.

The SD245A drill has a non-standard design of the drill angle and four belts to effectively cope with drilling problems such as irregular exits and through-hole interrupted cutting. For hole machining applications that previously could not be drilled and changed to helical interpolation milling, the SD245A can reduce machining time and cost by simplifying the machining process.

With an optimized drilling geometry and 6 belts, the SD265A can drill IT7 holes at a time. The IT7 class hole must have been combined with a drill bit and a reamer. With the SD265A drill bit, the process can be reduced, the cycle time can be reduced and the cost can be saved.

4, cubic boron nitride new material grade CBN 170

Secomax CBN170 is the world's first ceramic whisker-reinforced PCBN grade (patented) designed to process nickel-based superalloys. It can meet the requirements of strict surface roughness, tolerance and cutting length of nickel-based alloy parts. The combination of Secomax CBN170 with whisker ceramic adhesive technology and a cutting edge design focused on superalloys deliver unmatched tool life. Ceramic materials processing superalloys have the unpredictable shortcomings of the surface integrity of the parts, and the Secomax CBN170 does not affect the surface quality of the parts.

5, composite hard milling cutter JC800
The JC800 series is the latest solid carbide milling cutter from Seco Jabro, which is specially used to process composite materials such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, honeycomb material and MMC metal matrix. The JC800 series uses the latest DURA coating to significantly improve wear resistance and adhesion of the coating to the substrate compared to conventional diamond coatings, thereby increasing tool life. The JC800 series consists of five types of products: JC840 is a left-handed/right-handed double-helix angle tool. When the customer demands high surface quality of composite materials, the left-handed right-hand rotation can offset the axial cutting force generated during cutting and minimize the burr. With stratification. JC850 is a small helix angle ball end mill for contouring of landing gears and structural parts. JC860 is a special milling cutter for honeycomb materials, used for processing paper honeycomb, aluminum honeycomb, titanium honeycomb and other materials. JC870 and JC871 are pineapple cutters for processing various composite materials such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal matrix composites, glass, etc., providing solutions for small batch production. JC880 is a small helix angle end mill for processing glass and carbon fiber. When the length of the cutting edge is required, it can also be used to machine the plate, and the cutting edge of the milling cutter is divided into several sections. Needless to say, the JC800 is a cost-effective, standard tool line for almost all composite materials on the market.
