When selecting a waterproof coating, it should be based on the detailed design of the detailed structure and refer to the paint manufacturer's technical specifications. In addition to considering the physical and mechanical properties of the waterproof coating itself, the special circumstances of the specific project should be considered in detail. For example, in the long-term water-immersed parts such as swimming pools, in addition to the basic performance of waterproof coatings, it should also be considered that the waterproof coatings should not swell when exposed to long-term moisture. Because once swelling occurs, local waterproofing failure may occur under the action of water pressure or other external force.
The total coating thickness of the waterproof coating must meet the design requirements and should refer to the paint manufacturer's technical specifications. Where the deformation of the base layer is large, the service environment is frequently vibrated, and the leveling layer is in danger of cracking, the waterproof coating should use polyester mesh cloth or alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh cloth as the carcass reinforcement material.
