Question: Will this year's Henan University of Technology material science at the School of Engineering expand this year?
Zou Wenjun: This year, Henan University of Technology School of Materials, undergraduate students enrolled 400 people, recruiting 240 people, a total of 640 people, there is no plan for expansion. However, this year's abrasives and superhard materials are used as a professional enrollment. The admission scores are higher and the quality of students is also improved. Moreover, the super-hard materials will stop enrolling students next year. In the future, Henan University of Technology will follow the enterprise. Social needs are constantly improving, with emphasis on undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.
Since the beginning of recent years, the requirements of the quality of our school graduates have been increasing in large enterprises in the abrasives industry, especially for large enterprises that only recruit graduate students. Therefore, the college has made some planning adjustments for the employment situation this year. First of all, the abrasive material superhard material is used as a professional enrollment, and the scores and student quality are correspondingly improved. Secondly, we only enroll students from Henan Province in our college degree. Although foreign companies have the desire to hire, students do not have the willingness to work in other provinces. The college may cancel specialist enrollment next year. Finally, it is recommended that SMEs can send in-service employees with better foundations and high school diplomas in your company to our school for further education and adult education. They can also get a nationally recognized college diploma.
Question: I would like to ask Dean Zou, I have been working in abrasives and abrasives enterprises since I graduated from undergraduate course, but I think that the School of Materials is studying higher education. Is there any method?
Zou Wenjun: You can apply for a master's degree in engineering. The major is applied for the national unified examination in June each year, and is different from the national research exam. It is not based on the scores, but is accepted as a percentage of the number of applicants. For example, if 10 people apply for the major this year and 7 are admitted, the admission rate is 70%. And the profession is a semi-production form, which is very suitable for in-service personnel to apply for examinations, work and training.
Question: Is there any good collective training method for the basic operations of the company?
Zou Wenjun: In the first half of this year, our college conducted professional technical training for enterprises such as Baige Group, Zhengzhou Sanmao Research Institute and Zhongmo Company. More than 300 students under the guidance of professional teachers of the college used Saturday and Sunday. At the time, we completed the full training of the abrasive abrasive professional course. Next, we will promote this training mode nationwide.
Question: In the afternoon, I heard that Zou’s speech on the development direction of superhard materials has benefited a lot. I want to ask you two questions. One is: Please predict whether ordinary abrasives will be replaced by superhard abrasive products? Second, how long is the replacement cycle? How should our ordinary abrasives manufacturing enterprises carry out industrial upgrading and transfer?
Zou Wenjun: The upgrading of products is bound to accelerate with the rapid development of technology. At present, the trend of superhard material abrasives replacing some ordinary abrasives has begun. It may be that in the next three to five years, superhard abrasive products will completely replace ordinary abrasives in certain product fields. Therefore, enterprises should further accelerate industrial transfer, strengthen scientific research investment, and actively cultivate professional talents to ensure the technological innovation capability of enterprises.

Duplex Stainless Steel Overview
Duplex Stainless Steels, also referred to as austenitic-ferritic stainless steels, are a family of grades with about equal proportions of ferrite and austenite. These steels have a duplex microstructure which contributes to their high strength and high resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Due to their high content of chromium, nitrogen and molybdenum, duplex steels offer good resistance to local and uniform corrosion. Duplex stainless steels have good weldability.
Today, modern duplex stainless steels can be divided into three groups:
Lean Duplex such as LDX2101
Standard Duplex such as 2205, the work-horse grade accounting for more than 80% of duplex usage
Super Duplex such as Ferralium 255 and Zeron 100 and LDX2507
Of the duplex grades, duplex 2205 is the most widely used. However, the super duplex steels like Zeron® 100 and LDX2507 are excellent for servicing severe corrosive environments, such as offshore and marine applications. Lean duplex 2101 is available as an economic alternative to 300 series stainless steels.
