Jujube trees have a long flowering period and are sensitive to both wet and dry conditions. During the full bloom phase, when approximately 60% of the flowers have opened, it's recommended to mist the flowers with water every 2 to 3 days, or even spray them 2 to 3 times to enhance fruit set. Once more than one-third of the flowers are open, you can apply a solution of 0.5% urea combined with 0.4% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, or use Tianrun No.1 solution. This should be done once every 5 to 7 days, typically for a total of 3 applications, which can improve the fruit setting rate by about 30%. A second round of spraying in mid-July helps reduce physiological fruit drop. In the early stage of full bloom, applying plant hormones such as gibberellin and cytokinin can be beneficial. Adding a 0.2% to 0.3% borax solution along with these hormones enhances the effectiveness. It is generally advised to spray 2 to 3 times during this period. Proper watering and nutrient management are crucial during this time to ensure healthy flower development and higher fruit retention. Additionally, monitoring environmental conditions and adjusting the spraying schedule accordingly can further optimize results. These practices not only help increase yield but also contribute to the overall health of the jujube tree.
