First, the motors are factory-tested with the brush center position properly adjusted. Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust the motor after purchase. Always comply with the instructions provided by Haili.
Keep the motor dry, clean, and well-ventilated. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. When checking the motor’s insulation, always turn off the power to prevent accidents. Use a 250V megohmmeter to measure the cold insulation resistance: it should be at least 0.5 MΩ for motors rated below 45V, and 1 MΩ for motors between 45V and 110V.
If the drying requirements are not met, place the motor in a dry area or use a controlled drying method. During the drying process, monitor the coil temperature to avoid overheating and check the insulation resistance to ground regularly.
Ensure the armature rotates smoothly and that all mechanical connections are secure. The brushes should move freely within the housing, and the contact surface should remain clean. Regularly inspect the coil’s insulation resistance to detect any potential issues early.
If a motor failure is detected, stop the equipment immediately. The maximum voltage applied to the motor should not exceed 1.1 times the total nominal voltage of the battery pack.
Maintain the motor casing by keeping it clean and free from dust, which can affect heat dissipation. Inspect the gear, brushes, and other components at least once every six months.
