Lifting tool basic mechanism

Various lifting tools have different uses and great differences in construction, but all have a lifting mechanism that realizes the basic action of lifting. The material can be lifted and lowered by a flexible member such as a wire rope or a lifting chain, or it can be lifted by a screw or other rigid member.

Lifting tool performance parameters

The most important performance parameters that characterize the basic working ability of a lifting tool are the lifting weight and the working level. 1 weight refers to the maximum weight of the weight that is allowed to be lifted under the specified working conditions, that is, the rated lifting weight. Generally with a permanent magnet chuck (see permanent magnet jack), the weight should also include the weight of the permanent magnet chuck. 2 The working level is a performance parameter that reflects the overall working condition of the lifting tool, and is an important basis for designing and selecting the lifting tool. It is determined by the total number of work cycles and load conditions that the lifting tool needs to complete during the required period of use. For the lifting tools with strong regularity and repetitive operation, such as electric hoist for loading and unloading cargo on the dock, chain hoist for overhead warehouse and hopper elevator for feeding blast furnace, the working cycle is also an important parameter. The duty cycle refers to the time required to complete a work cycle, which depends on the speed of the organization and is related to the handling distance. The above lifting tools sometimes use productivity as an important parameter, and are usually expressed in terms of the amount of lifting done per hour.
