Tianjin Science and Technology Development Strategy Think Tank was established

On the afternoon of May 9, 2013, the Tianjin Science and Technology Development Strategy Think Tank was officially established, accompanied by an expert forum aimed at fostering innovation and strategic planning for the city's scientific and technological advancement. Zhu Liping, a member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Education Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the new think tank in driving innovation and shaping the future of the city. Representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with officials and experts from the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission, were also present, highlighting the collaborative nature of the initiative. Zhu Liping stressed that the establishment of this think tank plays a crucial role in promoting an innovation-driven development strategy, accelerating the formation of an innovative city, and enhancing the overall strength of science and technology to support high-quality economic and social progress. He called on the think tank members and experts to take their responsibilities seriously, align their work with national strategies and local priorities, and actively engage in strategic research. The think tank should act as a key advisor and support unit for decision-making, ensuring that its research is forward-looking, comprehensive, and globally oriented. It must also be inclusive, building efficient structures to conduct in-depth strategic studies that address pressing issues affecting both the economy and people’s livelihoods. Zhu emphasized the need for openness in research, encouraging the use of domestic and international expert resources to elevate the quality of advisory services. He also highlighted the importance of practicality, urging researchers to focus on grassroots-level challenges, identify real problems, and provide actionable strategies. To support the think tank’s work, the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission should listen closely to expert opinions, allocate sufficient funding, and promote exchanges and collaborations both within and outside the country. During the meeting, officials from the commission presented the composition of the expert team and outlined the think tank’s upcoming tasks. A formal appointment ceremony for consultants and experts was held, followed by speeches from participants discussing the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the construction of science and technology innovation projects in local universities.

Co Extruded Wear Resistant Layer Composite Pipe

Co-extrusion polyolefin elastomers (POE) abrasion resistant inner layer plastic composite pipes is characterised by taking co-extrusion thermoplastic polyolefin elastomers as the abrasion resistant inner layer, using a combination of steel wires (or glass fiber) reinforcements and high-density polyethylene. In addition to good workability and physical and mechanical properties as HDPE pipes, such pipes have good wear resisting performance. Co-extrusion abrasion resistant composite pipeline is a kind of anti-abrasion pipe with high cost-effective performance.
