Changchun Light Rail HD Monitoring Car Safety

Recently, Changchun Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. has partnered with the Public Traffic Security Administration Branch of the Changchun Public Security Bureau to form an emergency leadership team focused on counter-terrorism efforts. This initiative aims to enhance safety measures along the 3rd and 4th light rail lines by conducting regular anti-terrorism and anti-explosion operations at stations, key sites, and other critical areas. The team also oversees anti-vandalism, fire prevention, and overall security management to ensure a safe environment for passengers.

From 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, during peak operating hours, security personnel from the Light Rail Group’s Safety and Security Department and officers from the Public Traffic Security Administration are stationed at high-traffic locations such as Linhe Street Station, Railway Station, and North Railway Station. These teams are organized into fixed groups, with over 20 police and security staff deployed each day for routine patrols and inspections. They are equipped with handheld metal detectors to check for weapons, small metal objects, luggage, and fabrics that may pose a threat. Additionally, the video surveillance systems at all stations have been upgraded, with increased staffing in the monitoring center and the installation of high-definition cameras at key locations to eliminate blind spots in security coverage.

Since the formation of the emergency leadership team, significant progress has been made in enhancing public safety. As of May 12th, a total of 16 individuals were intercepted for unauthorized activities on the premises, 13 vehicles carrying flammable or explosive materials were handled, and 3 controlled cutters were confiscated. Furthermore, two thieves were caught on the spot with the help of the security teams. These efforts have contributed to a more secure and stable environment for residents and visitors in Changchun, reinforcing public confidence in the city's transit system.
