Photovoltaic power plants help companies turn losses into profits

In the first half of this year, the photovoltaic industry has been regarded as a crisis. The debt crisis of Suntech and LDK's two leading enterprises broke out and SMEs closed down. Unexpectedly, however, the semi-annual report shows that domestic PV companies are over 70% profitable. According to a survey by the reporter, the downstream power station project has become an important reason for the company to record good results, and the downstream development may also become a lifeline for the photovoltaic industry.

Most PV companies are profitable

A few days ago, there were reports that 22 of the 30 domestic PV companies that had released the 2013 interim results forecast reported a pre-earnings for the first half of this year, accounting for 73.3% of the total number of companies that have released results. It can be said that the “turning losses and skyrocketing” in the first half of the year has become the key word for the performance of these PV companies. According to the announcement of Dongfang Risheng, the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies in the first half of this year is expected to increase by 1553% to 2544% and profit of 25 million to 40 million yuan. In this regard, the company's explanation is that "in the report period, the company's multiple photovoltaic power plants have been connected to the grid to generate electricity, the company received electricity revenue and some of the power plant transfer income."

Another aerospace electromechanical company that realizes turning losses into profit is expected to have a net profit of about 168 million yuan in the first half of this year, compared with a loss of 302 million yuan in the same period last year. For the reason of turning losses, Aerospace Electromechanical first mentioned that "the company's self-built photovoltaic power station project achieved sales, investment income and industry chain profits can be reflected."

Beneficiary country support policy

It is understood that since the United States and Europe launched a "double-reverse" on China's PV industry in 2011, the "two-outside" PV companies are facing a collapse. In order to support PV companies, the Chinese government has introduced a number of policies since last year to encourage PV to return to China. . At the end of last year, the State Grid, which was “indifferent” to new energy, has issued opinions on the free grid connection of qualified distributed photovoltaic power generation.

Since the beginning of this year, the state's support policies have been gradually refined. On July 15, the “Several Opinions of the State Council on Promoting the Healthy Development of the Photovoltaic Industry” increased the total installed capacity of photovoltaics from 21 GW to more than 35 GW in 2015, and clarified the on-grid tariff and subsidies. The implementation period is in principle 20 years. Subsequently, the Ministry of Finance issued the "Notice on the implementation of related issues such as the power subsidy policy for distributed photovoltaic power generation", which clearly states that the state subsidizes the distribution of electricity by distributed photovoltaic power generation projects, and the subsidy funds are transferred to the distributed photovoltaic power generation through the grid enterprises. Project Unit. Another source said that in the near future, the VAT for PV power plant projects will be clarified as a preferential policy of 50% refund. The industry believes that the photovoltaic industry is likely to be in the second half of the year.

Power station will become a profit focus

At this point, the difficulty of grid connection and subsidies for electricity prices have been supported by the policy level, which has naturally boosted the confidence of the development of the industry. "Photovoltaic enterprises have become a matter of course by relying on the profitability of power stations." Another analysis said that next, with the successive introduction of policies, the performance in the second half of the year is expected to continue to grow.

In this context, PV companies are particularly concerned about the construction of power stations. In an interview with Beijing Business Daily, the photovoltaic giant Yingli Group said that the development of downstream power stations is a major direction for the Group's strategic transformation. According to the plan, the company will vigorously promote power station construction in 2013-2017, focusing on the development of ground power stations in Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Hebei, Henan and other places, and promote the construction of distributed photovoltaic power generation nationwide.

However, for the future of photovoltaics, there is a view that "not a good one." Wang Xiaokun, a new energy analyst at Zhuo Chuang Information, believes that “subsidies are temporary after all, and will become less and less as the industry develops. In addition, it should be noted that although photovoltaics are clean energy, they are producing photovoltaic products. There will be huge pollution in the process, and this will be an important issue that the industry must solve."
